Vanessa Moore

 

Vanessa Moore is the founder and Senior Principal Consultant at Moore McPhee with responsibility for innovation, research and best practice. She serves as the Senior Principal Consultant where she leads and directs her team of Safety Consultants in delivering quality work health and safety outcomes to clients in all facets of industry and business.   Vanessa has over 25 years of extensive experience providing work health and safety advice both as a consultant and as a valued member of senior leadership teams in other organisations. 

Prior to founding Moore McPhee Vanessa worked in a variety of work health and safety roles as well as injury management roles. She has worked for large multi nationals, large not for profit organisations, medium and small businesses.  Most notable is her seven years with Hills Ltd in a variety of senior executive roles. Vanessa holds a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Hazard Management and is in the process of completing her Masters at Federation University (formerly University of Ballarat, the foremost university for post graduate engineering based work health and safety courses). She also holds qualifications in Advanced Business Management, training and assessing and return to work.
 

David Warne

David is our former Graduate Program participant and is now a fully fledged Associate Consultant at Moore McPhee.

David commenced his studies at Federation University (formerly Ballarat University) where he completed his Cert IV in WHS. He has an interest in continuing his education and will be enrolling in the Graduate Diploma Program of Federation University in 2016.

He specialises in plant and manual handling risk assessments with a focus on engineering controls.

Prior to joining Moore McPhee David worked in a variety of roles in the warehousing and construction industries and his unique experiences have resulted in his specialising in these sectors.

Ruth Forbes-Simmons

 

Ruth is the Operations Manager at Moore McPhee with responsibility for Logistics, Office Management, Finance and Administration Coordination. 
 
Ruth has over a decade of extensive experience in project management roles in the IT sector, and comes to us from a position of running her own private tuition business.    
 
Prior to joining Moore McPhee Ruth worked in project management (IT). Starting as a contract Administration Officer with SA Water, she was part of the team responsible for upgrading all of SA Water’s considerable IT infrastructure to Windows XP and ensuring software compatibility across all applications used by the business.  She progressed to the role of Technical Tester and Project Support on this project. Following this, she spent time at EDS Australia as a Project Analyst working on the SA Government Account. She then moved to WorkCover SA (now known as Return to Work SA) where she was employed as a Business Analyst working on a variety of projects.
 
Most recently, she has been running her own business supplying tuition and training across a variety of disciplines. 
 
Ruth holds a Bachelor of Science (Botany and Zoology) from Adelaide University, a Diploma of Project Management from Adelaide Institute of TAFE, and a Certificate 3 in Workplace Training and Assessment from a private provider.
